Where are we heading to Part 1

I heard a very sad news today. I cant believe we can actually fold our hands and watch this country implode. A mother lost her set of quadruplets because doctors who swore the oath to save  lives are on strike. I want us to be realistic and at times we should be ashamed to call ourselves believers I don't care what religion you put your faith. Take for example the sins we commit everyday yet God in His infinite mercy spares our lives and answers our prayers.
Yes, blame the government we all know they barely have our interest at heart because if they really do our health care would have been improved and medical services would have been made available without hiccups. Why would you employ people and you don't want to pay them. It is amusing how the phrase " Monkey dey work Baboon dey chop" is still ruining our nation today. You get to see people who you give your mandate to make a change in the way we live and they way we have been ruled. What do you get you are scared or in some cases you are beaten by the men attached to them. You cant even drive without hearing sirens blaring and you might be forced to hit another vehicle in attempt to avoid them.

They loot all the money they can and travel out of the country to get the best treatment there is. They have embezzled so much that their families also get to enjoy the luxury they also can get. You don't expect their kids to be treated in public hospitals or quack clinics. Only in Nigeria you will see a politician begging for your support soon is  he is elected he becomes richer than you and can even feed your generations to come. We call what we have Democracy that is where we get it wrong. What happens to government of the  people, by the people and for the people. You can fool me because in my years in this country I have never been impressed. Empty promises keeps falling on our ears now they have turned deaf. We are surviving and not living.

If we were in a country where our government and our leaders have conscience, they would have averted this strike before it happened. This is not the first time this is happening this clarifies the fact that they say things and even forget they have made such promises. I would blame the government too much because we Nigerians are scared and we are ready to suffer as long as we don't die from it. Do you know Argentinians  took to the streets because there was a time the government made a legislation that affected the bakeries. They protested for days because they were used to bread been delivered to them as their breakfast, even if they paid for it they stood their ground. We have seen from the incident that happened in Egypt, a graduate set himself ablaze which sparked a revolution. If it had happened here they will be quick to send it to blogs and make fun of the situation. They will say it is home problem, frustration. Let me ask you are not frustrated. Have you never wished you were not born in this country, imagine a man that has worked for a long day lets say he is a bricklayer then he comes home to meet darkness and he doesn't have water too. He has to go long distance to fetch water. I have paid VAT for my PHCN metre which has not been used because it is a new house. I paid for the outstanding 3 months .

We are still coping and hoping for better days to come. Let me inform you, fortune favors the brave. Bob Marley said " Stand up for your right" you don't expect me to spell our rights for you. You deserve better and we are in a country where there is surplus. I cant make you see my vision because we all have ours. We have complains and we cant say them because we are afraid. We don't want to be the ones that will be used as scapegoats. If you have done your research you would find out that human beings don't always want to be the first to try, it only takes geniuses and brave men to make take the first step. Even in churches we wait for our neighbor to speak in tongues before we do. We wait for the first scholar to raise his or her hand before we join them in class. We go to parties and wait for who wants to be the first to open the floor. It is amusing isn't it but it is true. We have to stand up and let our complains out. We should speak free and be peaceful about it.

There some things we don't have to take for granted, we don't have to play with our health and education. We can make errors and we should be wise enough to correct them. I have not seen a country that will allow its doctors to go on strike. We should be the ones begging on their behalf and they should also pity the poor people who can afford private hospitals. We should learn how to keep to our promises and be honest. In the end we all have a story to tell to God what will yours be. If you read the Old Testament the prophets are the ones who can put the kings in the right path and confront them in order for them to repent. It is the opposite here, we see the contrast and we all ignore the truth because we don't want to blaspheme. Salvation is personal and the Bible teaches us to speak the truth and it will set us free. There is a verse that says " My people perish because of lack of knowledge" it implies to what you and I face today. Be bold to call spade a spade and a spoon a spoon. The truth is purest when it comes out plain. Speak up and you will save a nation and help liberate God's people.
