Six injured in Asaba multiple accidents

The Public Enlightenment Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Delta State, Mr. Julius Bassey, told The Punch that no life was lost in the accident, but that one of the victims was in an unconscious state when he was taken to the hospital.
Bassey attributed the accident to over-speeding by the driver of the articulated vehicle. He said victims were evacuated and taken to the St. Rebecca Hospital, Asaba for treatment.
In another accident, two articulated vehicles, a Toyota Camry car and a delivery bus were involved in an accident just in front of the Asaba International Airport.
Though the cause of the accident could not be immediately ascertained, no death was recorded. One of the trailers was carrying iron rods, while the other articulated vehicle was carring a 40ft container.
