FIFA'S VICE PRESIDENT JULIO HUMBERTO GRONDONA DIES AT 82

 
Julio Humberto Grondona, FIFA’s vice-president and head of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), had died at the age of 82.
Grondona was admitted to a hospital with a heart problem on Wednesday morning, but his condition got worse very quickly throughout the day and he eventually passed away.
He had been at the helm of affairs at the Argentina FA for 35 years and was responsile for the construction of the Ezeiza training complex, which the national team uses now.
As well as being the vice-president of the world football governing body, he was the founder and chairman of Arsenal de Sarandi, who are currently in Argentina’s Primera Division.
