MADE IN CHINA: China selling peaches wearing panties for hefty price

Sometimes, you just want to have a good piece of fruit and that can mean grabbing a peach and enjoying its savory flavor. Other times, you really wish your peach has some sex appeal and had a pair of ladies panties on and were called "Sexy Butts." As First To Know reported on July 31, 2014, that's exactly what is being done in China right now, and they are bringing in a good bit of money.
If you'd like some of these Sexy Butts, which come in a satin-draped display box, you're going to have to fork over some cash. They are being sold in boxes of nine for 498 yuan which amounts to close to $80 in the United States.
China News reports that the shapely peaches are called "Ripe Fruit" and this is a name bringing forth some sexual connotations and innuendos.
An article from The Wall Street Journal in 2009 stated that they are known as shui mi tao or "water honey peaches." They also reported that these peaches are the "juiciest, most delicious peaches on earth" and that "nothing from Georgia or California comes close."
A fruit vendor in Nanjing first developed the Sexy Butts, and he actually slid each small pair of panties on the peaches by hand. The peaches come from Yangshan, in Wuxi, which is a region known famously for its lingerie and garments.
It appears as if the thought was simply to put two rather successful things together.
The creator of the pantie peaches states he applied for a patent on them at least a month ago. He's started filing for infringement issues since other fruit vendors have begun selling them and profiting off of them as well.
It's no surprise that they are successful because the "Ripe Fruit" peaches are looked at as some of the tastiest things on the planet. Adding the small panties on them has made them overly trendy and now the Sexy Butts are the next big thing.
