Nigerian held for drug possession

PANAJI: The anti narcotic cell (ANC) of the Goa police on Friday arrested a Nigerian national Felix, 40, for alleged illegal possession of narcotic substances worth Rs 75,000 in the international market.
Police said that they have received information that a Nigerian national is expected to arrived near the Anjuna panchayat to deliver the narcotic substances to a prospective customer.

Accordingly ANC sleuths laid a trap to arrest the accused. As soon as the accused arrived at the spot he was caught red-handed with drugs.

Police seized 0.25 g (15 square pieces) of LSD papers worth 75,000 along with cash of 2,000 and one green and black colour motorcycle. The accused was earlier arrested by Calangute police in an NDPS case and was released on bail.

The accused has been arrested under various Sections of the NDPS Act 1985, Police sub inspector T D'Costa is investigating the case. The accused will be produced in court to seek police custody.
