Tuesday's Thoughts
Paradise is a must for we Nigerians, we are like magicians
No matter how hard it gets, we still jump the hurdles
We hustle carry burdens and struggles, it's not easy living in this purgatory
The masses are battling poverty, politicians showing off properties
It's almost a century yet my people are living in penury
Nothing seems to be progressing, the masses are vexing
The police are used to quell protests, they harm the people they are suppose to protect
The irony is that they suffer more, yet they rather die guarding the door
While the politicians steal more, people drumming for war
Because they've got dual citizenship, living in Naija is some prison ish
Govt built on extortion, my people die from exhaustion
What are the benefits we enjoy, it looks like it's only morons they employ
You're your own government because you basically provide everything
The government is an entitled dad who did nothing
But comes back extorting and blackmailing the abandoned child
Who keeps asking for his share because he's filled with so much pride
Political symbiosis you see intellectual cheering for parasites
Who have kept this country in shackles and debts
We practice religions that tells you don't take anything to the afterlife
We still read news of discovery of stash houses were looted cash are kept
Maybe the greed of the political class has to be redefined
We spend money paying workers in refineries were a drop of oil hasn't been refined
Nepotism that used to lurk in the shadows now happens in the open
They are quick to dash your hopes when they see us coping
Clerics selling salvation while their congregation are dying of starvation.
The old order have ripped the country so much that they're scared of releasing their grasp
With the monies you hear we've spent every Nigeria should be using flying cars and living in Mars
We only get international recognitions from intellectuals and stars
Everything has been orchestrated to leave the masses frustrated
